A race of real beds mounted-on-wheels, tough-pushing racers, stunning costumes and celebrity street credibility happens November 8th, 2014 on the pavement in Coconut Grove. The festival of live music, entertaining race beds and visual hilarity features over 40 racing teams raising money and awareness for Little Smiles, a charity that provides anything from toys to electronics, special event tickets and VIP outings to help kids escape their unfortunate circumstances of being sick in the hospital, even if only for a short period of time.
“We are thrilled to have been selected as this years cause”, said Executive Director Josh Daniels. “Our ultimate goal is to brighten a child’s day and allow them to just be a kid again. The bed race is a wonderful place to play, be alive and make a difference”.
Schedule of Events:
11 am: Family Pajama Party and Festival Gates Open
12 pm – 1 pm: Parade of Beds and Celebrity Judging
1 pm – 5 pm: Racing Begins, Half Time Show and Live Music
Awards Show and After Parties all throughout the Grove. Come to Coconut Grove. Stay in Coconut Grove.
