The good news: As a team, the Miami Dolphins are all on the same page.
The bad news: That page is covered in crap, and the 2012 season is beginning to smell like the familiar scent of disappointment.
“I’m embarrassed by the way we played,” Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill told reporters after the team’s embarrassing 37-3 loss to the Tennessee Titans in week ten of the season. “Myself, I didn’t play well, and we didn’t play well as a team.”
Linebacker Karlos Dansby agreed: “This is the worst game, by far, we have ever played as a defense and as a team.”
“It’s not one person’s fault,” head coach Joe Philbin added. “It’s a team loss.”
In fact, it was the Dolphins’ worst home loss since Lyndon Johnson was in office.
Nevertheless, Miami was still statistically the second-best team in the AFC East at press time. Likewise, the Dolphins’ next opponent was also in second place.
The Seattle Seahawks, second only to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West, are coming into Miami following a bye week with a 6-4 record.
