Spend this Presidents’ Day weekend in the heart of the Grove taking in art and sipping English tea. The annual St. Stephen’s Art & Craft Show is under way every day of this three-day weekend from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The epicenter of the celebration is St. Stephen’s Church. About 500,000 people are expected to attend this free event — now in its 19th year — which is ranked eighth nationwide in artists’ sales, according to Sunshine Artist magazine. This year’s fair features 160 artists, exhibits, fine craftsmen and vendors, and an English tea room, where the parish’s British members will serve tea and freshly baked scones. How delightfully dainty!
:“The fair offers the chance to stroll among oak trees in a very peaceful setting in the center of Coconut Grove,” said show director Erin Clancy. Nature-adoring artist Lyse Anthony designed this year’s poster; collector’s copies will be sold at the event.
