It’s time to celebrate 305 Day in Miami, and with the holiday come tempting deals from some of your favorite local restaurants and parties that spill over into the weekend. (Yes, only in Miami does your 305 party — specifically meant to take place on March 5 — extend into March 7.)

While it’s mostly homegrown businesses and organizations that tend to offer discounts and perks to mark the special date, one nationally recognized company is getting in on the action, too.

Dania Beach-based Spirit Airlines has announced it will offer one-way flights to select cities starting at just $30.50 from Miami International Airport (MIA). The deal is exclusively available on Thursday, March 5, from 12:01 a.m. through 11:59 p.m., and it only applies to trips taken on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between April 14 and May 19. Travelers can take advantage of the budget carrier’s deal to travel to Atlanta, Georgia (ATL); Charlotte, North Carolina (CLT); Chicago, Illinois (ORD); Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Houston, Texas (IAH); and New York-LaGuardia (LGA).

Though Spirit flies out of both MIA and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), and although the airline is based in Broward, this limited deal is only available to customers flying out of Miami.

“As South Florida’s hometown airline, we will always take any opportunity to celebrate the 305 and our Miami guests,” said Andrea Lusso, Spirit’s VP of network planning, in a statement.

The airline also marked 305 Day with flight deals in 2025, but it’s cut back from 11 cities to six this year. The company is scaling down in more ways than one — it announced last week that it will emerge from bankruptcy proceedings later this spring or early summer after years of financial struggles.

But even as it’s gone through the legal process, the airline has launched new routes, including a direct, 50-minute flight from Fort Lauderdale to Key West that debuted in November. That’s kept it in the conversation alongside other, bigger competitors, such as American Airlines, which launched a new route from Miami to Bimini last month. In a crowded market that recently made waves with its first nonstop flights from Florida to Japan, strategic plays like these holiday deals and new short-haul routes appear to be keeping Spirit in fighting shape.
