Keep Miami New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $7,500 by April 26. Your support ensures New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
If you’re anything like us, you’ve learned how to cope in a shitty recession and your dollar bills are sporting some brand-new stretch marks. Throw day-old bread in the toaster and you have bakery-fresh goodness, and throwing those Vicky’s in the sink with some Woolite will certainly knock a few pennies off of your electric bill. But you can also look to the past to bring your look into the future for less than the minimum payment on your Visa. This Saturday and Sunday, the Miami Vintage Clothing Show will take over the Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove and bring a whole heap of gently used but still fly garments and accessories. A variety of vendors will be on hand to ply your clotheswhore soul with authentic vintage wear from the roaring Twenties to the leg-warmin’ Eighties. Tickets cost $5, and the sale is on from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
