$10,000

The toughest fashionistas won’t let a dirty word like “recession” get in the way of their shopping obsession/compulsion/addiction. And based on scientific data we’ve collected (our bank statements, the receipts balled up in our wallet, etc.), it seems buying less often isn’t an option — it’s all about buying smart. And making intelligent purchases is where thrift stores, outlets, and Miami’s latest style invention, Rock Bottom Couture, fit in. Every three months, the organizers of this fashionable affair scour the boutiques of Miami for the best of the best on-sale merchandise. The value is then transferred to you when you hit the MAC Building for the largest collection of discount items this side of Sawgrass Mills. Pay $10, shop from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and forget that you can no longer afford full-priced wares. If only for one day.
