Keep Miami New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $7,500 by April 26. Your support ensures Miami New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
It’s not every day a good time slaps you across the face, but when it does, it might as well be with a big red rubber ball. This Sunday, Midtown Stadium Indoor Soccer (370 NW 24th St., Miami) will host the Dodgeball Beta Tournament, and only the fiercest of the fierce on the playground will get to partake. (Fine, anyone who joins or forms a team of six and pays the $20 fee to enter can play, but it would still help to grunt a menacing team chant before you hit the concrete.)
The winners will score cool dodgeball champion tees and a team trophy (because this is America, and trophies are given liberally), but every participant can dig into complimentary snacks and drinks as they watch the spectacle.
