Jeffrey Loria and the Miami Marlins just keep giving fans more ways to hate the team. Right now they’re fighting the Houston Astros for the worst record in Major League Baseball. The Fish also have the worst offense in the league, and it’s not even like there’s some up-and-coming barrage of superstar young players to look forward to watching in coming years. The Marlins are a mess. Oddly, in the offseason Loria said he wanted to completely tear down last year’s roster to get more wins, because last year’s record wasn’t acceptable. Now we realize Loria must have some sort of language disability and doesn’t understand what the word win means. What’s a baseball fan supposed to do when his team puts a steaming pile of dog poop on the field night after night? Go out to a home game where he can watch baseball’s best team play. That’s exactly what’ll happen this Friday when the St. Louis Cardinals hit Marlins Park (501 Marlins Way, Miami). Plus there’ll be a fireworks display after the game. That’s worth something, right?
