Anthony Hamilton has a voice that gets better as the years go by. An R&B favorite since 2003, the Grammy Award-winning Hamilton has not only achieved solo success but has also enriched the careers of countless performers in the music industry. He’s worked on projects with everyone from Dr. Dre, Young Jeezy, and Keyshia Cole to Josh Turner, Santana, and John Rich of Big & Rich. Between his own album sales and collaborations, Hamilton has sold more than 19.6 million albums to date. His recent pairing with singing staple Jill Scott on “So in Love” gave both artists a huge boost, with the song spending 18 weeks at number one on Billboard’s Urban Adult Contemporary chart. Another standout for Hamilton was his performance with Elayna Boynton on the Django Unchained soundtrack in 2012, when the haunting song “Freedom” was used during a flashback sequence. Hamilton’s fourth studio album, Back to Love, crafts a more energetic sound without compromising his hailed soulful vocals and engaging melodies. Miami will get a chance to watch and listen live when the singer makes a tour stop at the James L. Knight Center (400 SE Second Ave., Miami) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $60 to $110 at ticketmaster.com. Call 305-416-5977.
