Unlike New Year’s (which is fundamentally about drinking) or Christmas (which is about either marketing or Jesus, depending on who you ask), Thanksgiving is definitely a holiday for eating. So what better way to spend this morning than working up a healthy appetite – and burning off a few hundred calories? The annual Turkey Trot, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida and Miami-Dade Parks, takes place today at Tropical Park (7900 Bird Rd., Miami) and includes a 5K and a 10K race for all ages.
