The ’90s might be back, but the ’80s will never die. Celebrate everyone’s favorite flashy decade with all your best friends at the 80s Flashback Festival. DJ Oski and his buds are turning back the hands of time this Saturday at Tobacco Road (626 S. Miami Ave., Miami), and every real ’80s child won’t want to miss it.
The beauty of the ’80s was the boss music and totally rad fashion, and this fest prides itself on bringing that magic back to the max. Three stages will host 15 local bands as they pay tribute to favorite ’80s acts. Groups will kick off and end their sets of original material with covers of Duran Duran, U2, Michael Jackson, Tom Petty, and others.
Raid your closet and dust off those epic shoulder pads, because a costume contest will go down at midnight with a $100 cash prize. So pile on the makeup and don your heaviest gold chain. Ain’t no shame in wearing every color of the rainbow.
