For dance lovers in Miami, this is one of the best times of the year. Each week since the New Year has brought a quality new dance performance to South Florida stages, from both major international companies and quality homegrown ones as well.
This week is no exception. Peter London Global Dance will premiere its 2013 Spring Dance Showcase at the Little Haiti Cultural Center (212 NE 59th Ter., Miami) Sunday at 7:30 p.m., with an eclectic mix that reflects the global roots of the Miami-based troupe.
London, a well-known choreographer on the national scene and a New World School of the Arts dance professor, put together his multicultural company a couple of years ago to draw dancers to the 305 and to help develop young local talent. This year’s show features two major soloists from the Martha Graham Dance company performing the Graham duet “Conversation of Lovers,” coupled with a premiere from London Global’s artist associate, principal dancer with New York’s Bill T. Jones company, and South Florida native La Michael Leonard. Three new ballets choreographed by London will round out the showcase.

Sun., March 10, 1:30 & 7:30 p.m., 2013
