$7,500

Forget that summertime sadness, Lana Del Rey. If you’re from out of town, you’re probably feeling the autumn blues right about now. No colorful foliage, no apple picking, no cute boots or bright scarves. But there’s a consolation prize. At least you can get your pumpkin patch on at the Coconut Grove Pumpkin Patch Festival at Peacock Park (2820 McFarlane Rd., Coconut Grove) this weekend.
With more than 5,000 pumpkins to choose from, plus all the trappings of a fall festival, it’s a step up from those backyard pumpkin patches made of hay bales that used to thrill you back in the day.
Here, there’s a kids’ hay maze, a dress-your-own-scarecrow section, carnival rides, shows and activities, a corn stalk maze, and even a hillbilly hay ride.
And don’t worry — it’s not all kiddie fun and games. There’s a pumpkin beer garden for grownups, as well as a pumpkin food court that will offer pumpkin funnel cake, pumpkin chicken-stuffed acorn squash, pumpkin crêpes, and lots of other goodies to feed your seasonal pumpkin spice addiction.
