For those of you who can’t bear to wait another month for Sex (that is, the debut of Sex and the City 2), here’s some foreplay: Last Wednesday, Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell released her latest novel, The Carrie Diaries, a teen prequel to her golden franchise of single ladies looking for the One.
But we wouldn’t just tease you with a book. This Friday, the everything-she-touches-becomes-gold author will visit the Biltmore Hotel to sign copies of her new book and chat about life before Samantha, Charlotte, Miranda, and the Big Apple. Because The Carrie Diaries begins during the beloved character’s senior year in high school, expect Bushnell to field questions from both cosmo-swilling older fans as well as youngsters sporting fashions from Gossip Girl. Do we smell another television series? Cha-ching.
