Ain’t no party like a hurricane party ’cause a hurricane party don’t stop. So why wait for the hurricane? Head to the Historical Museum of Southern Florida for its Hurricane History 101 Family Fun Day this Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Experts will show storm lovers how hurricanes have affected all aspects of life below the Ron Jon-Disney line.
And in a boon for all of us who have exhausted variations of the peanut butter and jelly sandwich after the power goes off, chefs Kathleen Duran and Bonita Whytehead, AKA the Storm Gourmets, will give a workshop on how to keep the palate from revolting while FPL takes its damn time getting to your block.
Admission is eight dollars for adults; children under 6 get in free.
