The Miami Heat play the Milwaukee Bucks this Tuesday. For the two-time defending champions, the game will likely feel like they’re driving behind a really old person on a single-lane, one-way street. The Heat may get incredibly frustrated, driving their metaphorical $2 million Bugatti Veyron behind the Bucks’ 1995 Buick Regal. But they better get used to it. The Bucks are just one of many lackluster opponents who’ll try to bore the Heat’s team of NBA superstars into a loss this season.
Still, for a team with a zero-interest reputation, the Bucks can put up a pretty good fight. Last season, they managed to take one game from the Heat in their four regular-season meetings, and one of the three Heat wins went to overtime. And this isn’t the same Bucks team from last year; Milwaukee added players like Caron Butler, O.J. Mayo, and Gary Neal this past offseason, bolstering an already workman-like core to attempt to compete in the Eastern Conference. Unfortunately for them, they still have to overcome four-time MVP LeBron James and company.
