Sure, the Historical Museum of Southern Florida’s Young Professionals might be more than seven decades late with their Repeal Prohibition Party, but there’s nary a bad time to protest the evils of moderation. No matter how you pour it, you’ve got a responsibility to grab your Tommy gun, tap shoes, and moonshine, and then — if you’re between the ages of 21 and 40 — join these yuppies for some liquor served with a shot of clever historicism.

This Thursday Bardot will be transformed into the kind of pre-War speakeasy where every single protester gets rewarded with a couple complimentary drinks and free hors d’oeuvre. Plus, show up early for the anti-Prohibition happy hour and prove you’re genuinely dedicated to the fight against that nightlife atrocity misleadingly nicknamed the Noble Experiment.

Thu., Dec. 10, 7 p.m., 2009
