$7,500

We’ve seen art in the most outrageous places — on bathroom stalls, in parking lots, on rusty shipping containers. But when we heard there would be an exhibit inside a Quiznos, we nearly keeled over! The fun doesn’t stop at the sub shop tonight from 6:00 to 8:00. Art on Alton Under the Stars is turning five establishments on South Beach’s Alton Road into minigalleries where local artists will show off their goods. Fifty percent of all sales will benefit the Reach for the Stars Foundation.

“All of the stores are getting together to cooperate as one. We’re hoping to do this on a regular basis. It’s great for the community, and it’s phenomenal for the organization,” says Reach for the Stars Foundation Director Solange Beaumard. Event tickets cost $20, but the wine, champagne, beer, cocktails, and culture are free. For participating stores and tickets, visit www.r4stars.org.

Fri., Aug. 31, 6-8 p.m.
