Much has been made of the Getty photo from Vancouver’s Stanley Cup riots, which showed a couple swapping spit in the midst of smoked-tinged chaos. Many of us admonished husbands and boyfriends for not executing similar spontaneous bodice-ripping-style affection in our own lives. But a new video (above) clearly shows the cops’ brutal knockdown and smackdown that preceded the lip lock. It’s so intense we’re more than a little surprised that anyone involved felt like kissing at all. Since when is a smooch a cure for police-brutality-induced hysteria?
