Get out your all-white attire that you don’t mind tossing after a single use, because Life in Color, the world’s largest paint party, is back. And for the first time, the festival is a two-day event, this Friday and Saturday. That means two nights of cannons blasting all the colors of the rainbow onto the smiling faces, flipping hair, and dancing bods of 25,000 EDM devotees.
“We’re expecting to use a record amount of paint,” says the VP of operations and business affairs, Eric Fuller. But neon splatter (although fun and pretty) might be the least exciting thing that Life in Color has in store for this year’s megablowout. DJ, producer, and EDM superstar Kaskade will headline the fest Saturday, along with bad boy Diplo, Aussie blond-twin act Nervo, and Adventure Club. They’ll split their musical talent between two massive stages that will take over the parking lots of Sun Life Stadium (347 Don Shula Dr., Miami Gardens), while a third local stage will highlight talent from the 305.
Fuller says they even have some dynamic art installations planned: “Think Burning Man-type stuff.” So, like, giant robots shooting flames?
To find out, buy tickets at lifeincolor.com. One-day passes cost $84, or go hard and do two days for $149.
