This performance is a fusion of dance, discussion, and film — and it’s the homecoming culmination of a Florida tour by the twelve exceptional dancers of Karen Peterson and Dancers Company.
With a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the mixed-ability performance focuses on the reconstruction of Doris Humphrey’s 1935 piece, “New Dance,” as well as Karen Peterson’s own “Streets & Alleys.” The first show begins at 8:00 p.m on Friday April 27, and the final performance will be this afternoon at 4:00 at the Excello Dance Space.
