Why is it that breaking stuff can be so therapeutic? Perhaps it’s the rush of releasing pent-up aggression, or the look on Grandma’s face when she sees that you “accidentally” broke her heirloom tea set. Regardless of the reason, the ladies at EveInterrupted.com know it feels good to be bad. That’s why they’re throwing Crash, their eighth all-girl art party, tonight from at Jakmel Art Gallery. Featured artists will showcase work they believe is representative of oppressive attitudes toward women. The artists will then destroy their art as local female trio AKA performs a cover of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” After the smashfest, DJs Heather Holiday and D-Lokx will spin while Diana Eguizabal break-dances. If your inner Hulk craves more destruction, piñata-pounding fun will send the Devil into your idle hands. There will also be live painting by OnblondeArt.com and blank T-shirts on the walls for guests to design their own artwork. After midnight, head to Studio A for the official afterparty.
