We’re still not used to the idea that the FedEx Orange Bowl is played at Land Shark Stadium. There are just too many concrete nouns in there — orange, shark, land — that make no sense together. But we are excited about this year’s matchup.

Yeah, yeah, the Hurricanes didn’t win the ACC, and they beat the crap out of eventual victor Georgia Tech when they met in September. But no doubt about it, Tech’s option offense is fun to watch, and the million-dollar question this Tuesday night is going to be if Big Ten runnerup Iowa can stop it. The Hawkeyes’ corn-fed defense finished the season ranked 11th in the nation, but they never faced anyone like Tech QB Josh Nesbitt. (Ohio State’s Terrelle Pryor, though more talented than Nesbitt, is just a hand-off machine in Jim Tressel’s snore-fest offense.) Come see for yourself this Tuesday. Kickoff is 8 p.m., but we imagine most people will show up earlier to get rowdy in the parking lot. Tickets start at $95, plus $30 for parking ($20 if you buy your pass in advance).
