St. Patrick’s Day is one of those blessed holidays, like birthdays. If it falls on a workday, you get to celebrate it not once, but twice. Well, it’s on a Wednesday this year, so save the nightlife drinking debauchery for then. Make Saturday for the festivals, for the family, for the Irish food.

There will be sheep herding, hurling, and currach racing (currachs are Irish boats). And there’s more: Downtown Fort Lauderdale will be filled with classic automobiles, drum bands, and street performers.
