Although British pop superstar Harry Styles did not make an appearance in town during Miami Art Week, his gender-fluid lifestyle brand, Pleasing, opened a shop on Miami Beach for a limited time in his stead. Now, the ten-day “Pleasing Miami Holiday” is winding down. The pop-up, which opened Friday, December 5, closes this Sunday, December 14.

Pleasing, founded in 2021, offers a diverse variety of products — from nail polish to makeup to clothing and sex toys — embodying Styles’ playful aesthetic, one that fans will recognize from his album covers to his concert-ready sequins and feather boas.

His brand chose Miami as its vacation (or “holiday,” as the Brits say) destination this year after popping up in Austin, London, New York, San Francisco, Chicago, and other major cities.

The brand’s name is plastered across pastel hoodies, beanies, keychains, and even $15 lighters.

Just past the Standard lobby, a massive pink seashell reading, “Pleasing Miami Holiday,” beckons with a vintage postcard feel. After a quick wait, visitors are invited into a small room decked out in ‘60s Miami Beach decor. The brand’s name is plastered across pastel hoodies, beanies, keychains, and even $15 lighters. The nail polish bottles — visually striking products which first gave Pleasing its international recognition — are available for purchase in trippy chrome colors, or as freebies with a wheel spin.

The brand’s perfumes, also available at the pop-up, range from musky to floral, notably with no “For Her” or “For Him” labels. Pleasing’s Big Lip + Cheek Tint Trio Sets are also available for a cool $65 if you’re looking for the right sunkissed Miami glow.

Even without an appearance from Styles, the experience will delight his fans — if they can stomach the steep $45 valet parking fee at The Standard. They can also try their luck with other parking options now that Basel is over, or make a day of it with a stop at the hotel’s cozy cafe before zenning out in one of the lobby’s pillowy seats.

Pleasing Pop-Up. Through Sunday, December 14, at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach, 40 Island Ave., Miami Beach; 305-673-1717; pleasing.com.
