The Wallflower Gallery has been a cultural mainstay in downtown Miami for 12 years, from back when Miley Cyrus was still named Destiny Hope and Harry Potter had only two books about him. During that time, the folks behind the community arts space have never discriminated against any local art form — music, literature, performance, comedy, photography, sculpture, and painting — they do it all, providing a necessary oasis for us weirdos in the otherwise concrete jungle.

Now it’s time to give them a little support. This Saturday is the Wallflower Gallery’s 12th Anniversary Celebration.

Guest performers include The Southwood Project, The 18 Wheelers, Kiwikey, Coffee House Gypsies, Christian Rodriguez, Shawn Snyder, Kuyayky, Alonso, Mark A.S., Joe McNair, Chunky & more.
Sat., May 16, 1 p.m., 2009
