Thankfully, you can offset at least a piece of pumpkin pie at Run Miami’s Turkey Trot, held annually on Thanksgiving morning at Tropical Park (7900 Bird Rd., Miami). Teens and adults can sign up for the 5K and 10K, while children 9 and younger can participate in shorter races. Help Miami’s families in need by donating canned goods. Registration for the 5K costs $25, and the 10K costs $30. Students get a special discount of $20 for the 5K and $25 for the 10K. The Kids’ Trot is $10.
