“I like you.” “I want to be with you forever.” “You’re getting on my nerves.” “Drop Dead.”
All relationships have a beginning, a middle and an end. What happens in between is “(500) Days of Summer,” an anti-love flick from emerging director Marc Webb. Witness the emotional 500-day rollercoaster ride of Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and his efforts to win back the heart of Summer (Zooey Deschanel), the non-committal love of his life, as FoxSearchlight hosts a sneak preview of the film this Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at AMC Sunset 24.
Before all you guys out there roll your eyes and mutter, “Chick flick,” know the film packs enough wit, dirty jokes and morbidly delicious songs to have you laughing and emo-ing out for the whole 95 minutes. And critics have loved it, too; “(500) Days” popped some major kernels with the Sundance crowd this year.
Even better, you and your date can go for free by signing up at the movie’s Web site. Just don’t blame us a month from now when your significant other breaks up with you for being such a cheap bastard.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $16,750 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
