The last time we had a police escort, we started in Miami Gardens and ended at the Dade County Jail. Hey, nobody’s perfect. But the Fort Lauderdale Harley-Davidson Biker Bash offers us a shot at karmic redemption. Now in its tenth year, the four days of motorcycle-inspired festivities will take place from December 11 to 14; proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County. Today, wake up early and ride from the Seminole Hard Rock — starting at 9:15 a.m. sharp — to the Quarterdeck Restaurant in Boynton Beach.

Later on, get ready for the official Bikers’ Bash at the Seminole. Richie Supa, entertainment coordinator, Harley enthusiast, and co-writer of Aerosmith’s “Amazing,” penned an original song for the event via a telephone interview. “We’re gonna rock the streets on Harley’s, we’re gonna roll in the cash for the kids,” he offered, on the fly. Sounds sweet to us. A $20 dollar raffle ticket could win you a 2009 Harley Sportster, but everybody wins when celebs like Nascar driver Kyle Petty, Big Kenny from Big and Rich, and supermodel Niki Taylor are in the house. There’s also a fancy dinner, auctions and official afterparty at Pangaea. Visit www.bikersbash.org for a complete schedule of events.
