Ever since George Romero’s zombie classic Dawn of the Dead was released, malls have been the perfect backdrop for horrific, blood-soaked carnage. Young punks have continued the horror by terrorizing you on the way to the food court. (Can you all lay off? We just need our Cinnabon fix.) House of Horror honors this tradition by transforming the outside of Miami International Mall into a terror-filled amusement park with Halloween-themed rides, musical acts, circus performers, and the largest haunted house in South Florida.
In addition to the unlimited use of park attractions, visitors get to experience the Pig Butcher, the Vampire Lair, and a zombie-filled graveyard, which will be just a smidge scarier than the mall’s Hot Topic clientele. The fun begins this Thursday and continues through October 31. House of Horror is open 6 p.m. to midnight weekdays and 5 p.m. to midnight on weekends.
