In a sentence that no one would have predicted we’d write ten years ago — H&M is opening a location in Hialeah. The new store is set to open its doors tomorrow, November 19. The ever-popular Swedish clothing brand has 25 other stores in the state of Florida (with 399 nationwide), and the Hialeah branch inside the Westland Mall will span a whopping 24,000-square feet.
So why Hialeah?
“H&M always looks to find the best location in an area where there is a strong customer base. Florida is an important market to the brand and we plan to continue strategic expansion within the state,” an H&M spokesperson told the Miami New Times.
The store will include ladies, men, young ladies, and young men collections, along with accessories, lingerie, cosmetics, sports apparel, plus a children’s collection.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $16,750 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
“Each store is tailored to its specific location depending on customer base and what is right for the area. Lots of planning goes into making sure the store will exceed customer’s expectations,” the spokesman adds.
The first 200 shoppers in line will get an H&M t-shirt, an Access to Fashion Pass — in other words, a gift card — that can be valued anywhere between $10 and $300, and additional surprise offers.
The store is located at Westland Mall, 1695 West 49th Street, Hialeah, and it can be reached at 855-466-7467. Store hours will be Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visit hm.com/us.
