Loving sports is becoming extremely difficult around here. Gainesville has been cleaning up at the collegiate level (gag), while UM’s football Hurricanes fell apart, the Dolphins dived, the Marlins are still behaving like holiday guests, and the pro hockey team is…. Do we still have a pro hockey team? Worst of all, your world champeen Miami Heat are struggling to offer hope, by the All-Star break, that they might be able to achieve a winning record. The Heat built quite a team around Dwyane Wade: Jason Williams is outstanding, Udonis Haslem remains reliable, James Posey and Antoine Walker showed promise. Alonzo Mourning, Gary Payton, Jason Kapono, and the rest of the bench offer solid support.
