Traveling the world in a weekend is possible, but only if you venture down to Key West for the journey. The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) is being resurrected for the Southernmost Mini Fest, featuring many of the lauded films from the 2006 festival. Start out with Pittsburgh — the story of actor Jeff Goldblum’s hiatus from Hollywood, which the actor took in order to star in a local production of The Music Man with his new girlfriend. Hysteria ensues. In Zen & Zero, you’ll follow Austrian (yes, we said Austrian) surfers as their wanderlust leads them from Mexico to South America and beyond. The documentary Pianists: Defining Chopin is set in Warsaw and observes four American pianists as they partake in a rigorous 30-day competition.
