The Save Our Sisters (SOS) team is South Florida’s first dragon boat-racing crew made up of breast cancer survivors, and this Thursday, you can do your part for their cause by having a drink with them at the Pink Rocks Fundraiser.

Dragon boat racing combines modern-day team rowing with the tradition of a 2,000-year-old sport. Each vessel holds 20 paddlers, one drummer, and a driver in a boat featuring dragon designs. But don’t worry — you won’t be quizzed on that when you show up at the River Lounge in the Epic Hotel at 6:30 p.m. Instead, you’ll enjoy complimentary drinks and food, a silent auction, and the world-premiere screening of the WLRN-produced documentary All in the Same Boat, about the SOS dragon boat team. Tickets cost $35 and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
