Have you ever been to Tokyo? At night the city is just as alive as it is during the day. The Meiji Shrine there has a wall of sake barrels waiting for your straw. If you don’t think Japanese history is cool enough already, you should visit the 300 Years of Japanese History exhibit. It’ll take you through the artworks of the Edo and Meiji periods, where shoguns and emperors ruled the island. There’s so much more to Japan than sushi, anime, and Hello Kitty. Rich culture, extravagant art work, and touchy politics compromise the 300 years of history displayed at this exhibit.
