This was a long, sweaty weekend. No bones about it — summer has arrived. And it’s effing hot. And wet.
But it’s Monday, and you’re about to spend the next five days locked in an air conditioned office. Better than heat stroke, we suppose. Either way, here are some ways to pass the after-work hours. Free of charge.
Monday
- Sixteen Candles & The Breakfast Club at Blackbird Ordinary: Drool over Jake Ryan and relive the awesome 80s at this double-header. But this time around, you’re old enough to drink.
Tuesday
- Free Tour at Lowe Art Museum: Get your art on on the cheap. For just a donation, you can cruise UM’s art mecca for the afternoon.
- Weekend at Bernie’s at the Miami Tower: It’s a movie about people lugging a dead guy around pretending he’s alive. ‘Nuff said.
Friday
- Downtown’s First Friday Art Walk: Stroll the streets of downtown, Miami’s newest art mecca. Take that, Wynwood.
