Whatever the depth of your debauchery, your weekend probably wasn’t awesome as the latest antics from New Times‘ writers (and if it was, why aren’t you writing for us?). From trolling every bar in South Florida to find an elusive $1 beer to watching some girl-on-girl action with Jay Z, we’ve been, uh, busy.
Either way, your glory days are done for another week. It’s Monday, and your SFW cube life is back for another five days. So to keep you going, here’s a lineup of stuff to do this week that’ll be easy on the wallet and your weary bod.
Thursday
- Justin Kramon at Books & Books: Have a literary listen as author Kramon reads from his uber-suspenseful relationship drama, The Preservationist. The perfect cure for a less-than-exciting love life.
- Town of Surfside Festival: Music, dancing and food trucks in our cozy little hamlet to the north.
- New Times happy hour at The Island Bistro: Free food and free booze, all on us. You’re welcome.
Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $17,250 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
Friday
- VIP Reception at the Antique Experience: Get your old school on with jazz, throwback fashion, antiques, nibbles and other good stuff.
