If you spent a month’s worth of disposable income on gamer swag at Video Games Live this weekend (all in a fruitless attempt to attract a cosplay hottie), we feel your pain. But don’t worry, you don’t have to forego all offline social interaction ’til your next payday.
There are ways to have free fun in this enclave of the expensive we call home — you’ve just gotta know where to go. That’s where we come in. Here’s a rundown of gratis activities for the next five days. Enjoy.
Monday
- Demons screening at 1930 Social Club: Gutter Films is headed to South Beach to regale attendees with “pizza, liquor, cake, blood, sex and heavy metal.”
Tuesday
- Bootcamp at Bayfront Park: Sweat it out. By “it”, we mean everything — booze, pastelitos, cafe con leches, nicotine residue et al.
Wednesday
- Iron Man 3 at SoundScape: Watch this Miami-filmed flick in all its $200 million glory. Because who doesn’t love RDJ in a metal suit? If only Pepper Potts wasn’t a thing.
- A Gun in Each Hand screening at Centro Cultural Espanol: Check out this Spanish comedy flick about eight dudes dealing with midlife crises. Midlife, quarter life — any way you slice it, we can relate.
