Free Events This Week in Miami: Jazz, Minions, and a Dusk Pool Party

Happy Monday, Miamians. This week brings plenty of events, and the best part is these are free. 

Monday 

• Miami Jazz Jam at Churchill’s: Get funky at the weekly Jazz Jam. Music starts around 9 p.m.  
  
• Improv at Palmetto Bay Library: Practice your best jokes with Cutler Bay Community Theater actors at 7 p.m. 

Tuesday 

• 100 Women Who Care (Miami-Dade Chapter) at Dolores but You Can Call Me Lolita: Join likeminded local women who care about the 305 and want to help it thrive.
  
• FitCamp Classes in South Beach: Head to 23rd Street and Collins Avenue for a free South Beach FitCamp class. Call 305-587-8220. 
  
• Sunset Jam at Miami Lakes Branch Library: Grab a chair and a blanket for this week’s Sunset Jam, featuring the Kuyayky children’s orchestra.
  

Wednesday 

• Hang out at a National Park: It’s National Park Week and the National Park Service’s 100th anniversary, which means entry into any park in Florida, including Everglades National Park, is free through April 24.
  
• In the Lobby Lounge at Olympia Theater: Join the Front Yard Theatre Collective for an evening of interactive performance. Expect burlesque, vaudeville, improv, and whatever else comes to mind.
  
•  The Day After Tomorrow Screening at SoundScape: Watch Dennis Quaid, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Emmy Rossum in The Day After Tomorrow. Showtime is 8 p.m.
  

Thursday 

• Mezcal for Y’all at Clandestino: Join the New Tropic for a night of mezcal, one of Mexico’s oldest agave-based spirits. Sample a medley of mescal mixes for free.
• Noctiluca Dusk Pool Party at the Shore Club: Forget Sunday pool parties – head to the Shore Club for its monthly Thursday-night soiree to swim under the stars. 
  

Friday 

• Night in the Museum at the Wolfsonian: From 6 to 9 p.m., get free admission to the Wolfsonian. 
  
• Minions at Goodlet Park: The City of Hialeah will host an outdoor movie night at Goodlet Park featuring the adorable flick Minions.
