$7,500

:Ah, Labor Day. You know it as the last chance to rock in those white patent-leather boots, but the true purpose is to give the hard-working man — and woman — some well-deserved rest. So, teachers and bankers, doctors and lawyers, pimps and hoes, you can officially put your feet up — guilt-free. We saw what you did with your last day off, so instead of spending the afternoon catching up on episodes of the Maury Show, head to Jungle Island for Labor Day festivities.

From September 1 until today, Miami-Dade County residents can take advantage of discounted admission to the area’s most spectacular jungle fun. For just $10 per person, you and the family can groove and move to a DJ, see spectacular shows, splash on the private beach, and meet Jungle Island residents like Hank the 2000-pound crocosaurus. And when your grumbling stomach starts to drown out Hank’s groans, head to the Lakeside Café for a fabulous holiday brunch from 9:30 to 1:00. Brunch is $14.95 for adults, $9.95 for kids.
