Certainly not Galapagos Duck. Although Australia can boast of the Bee Gees, AC/DC, INXS, Midnight Oil, Nick Cave, and Wolfmother, the land down under lacks jazz pedigree. Into the void comes VOID, with a sound that is equal parts Pat Metheny and Max Roach on methamphetamines.
Saxophonist Troy Roberts leads a drums, bass, and keyboard combination that rarely takes a breath, much less a breather, as it attempts to make a name for itself off of its home island.
