Downtown gets way more impressive when one of the largest fireworks displays in South Florida explodes in shades of red, white, and blue over Bayfront Park (301 N. Biscayne Blvd., Miami). Plus, there will be a petting zoo, pony rides, and live music throughout the afternoon and evening. The kiddos might be snoozing on your shoulder come fireworks time, which is 9 p.m., but admission is free. Visit bayfrontparkmiami.com.
