Keep Miami New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $7,500 by April 26. Your support ensures New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
If you’ve ever looked at the contemporary crop of celebretards and pined for the good old days when we had entertainers who could act and dance and play music equally well, there’s one man who proves that real talent hasn’t gone the way of the teetotaling starlet: Andy Garcia. This summer he appears in the box office smash Ocean’s Thirteen alongside A-list buddies Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Al Pacino, and Matt Damon. Now jazz aficionados can appreciate Garcia up close and personal as he jams with another one of his famous friends. Tonight is all about Andy Garcia, Arturo Sandoval, and Friends.
No worries, jazz fans. Garcia won’t be competing with Sandoval’s award-winning lung power. Instead he’ll be keeping rhythm on the congas. What, you were expecting a sax-off? It all goes down tonight at the Arturo Sandoval Jazz Club. Doors open at 7:00; the show begins at 9:00.
