It’s 7:00 p.m. What’s for dinner? Whaddya got? Herb and butter Rice-a-Roni? Ketchup with the crusty top? A can of tuna from a Hurricane Andrew survival kit? If you were an Iron Chef, someone would yell out “Allez cuisine!” and you would snap into action, concocting dishes like buttery rice a la king and tuna-tomato ice cream. Since all of that sounds nasty and you are certainly no Iron Chef, some schooling in the art of spontaneous culinary delights is in order. Chef Cat Cora to the rescue!

Today at 1:00 p.m. America’s only female Iron Chef will be at the Macy’s Cooking School at the Aventura Men’s & Home Store. During her demo she will prepare a recipe from her new book, Cooking from the Hip: Fast, Easy, Phenomenal Meals. For reservations, call 305-682-3351.

Sun., April 22, 1 p.m.
