After a few meager tweets about some of the authors confirmed for the Miami Book Fair 2011, a recent email has just released two dozen more awesome names. Check after the jump for the 24 new authors confirmed for the literary fest, slated for November 13 to 20. Better get on your local library’s waiting list for titles like Nicole Krauss’s Great House, Chuck Palahniuk’s Damned and Jeffrey Eugenides’s The Marriage Plot now.
We also learned that the theme this year will be China. There’ll be a pavilion featuring Chinese art and music, a conference on Chinese culture, and readings by Chinese and Chinese American writers during the Congress of Authors. This was an oblivious choice considering Miami’s booming Asian community. No, but really, Chinese culture is all the more exotic for being underrepresented in this town, right?
