It’s nothing new that Colombian women are all about beauty, bathing suits, and beaches. So when Caffé Swimwear, the Colombian beachwear label, stepped onto the runway, we weren’t surprised to see the models radiate in sexy colors and graphic prints. The 2014 collection is no different than previous collections in regards to high-end, yet laidback style.
The models strutted down the catwalk in sleek ponytails, city jewelry, woven beach bags, and swimsuits that came in striking colors and mixed prints. This year, designer Paula Saavedra, believed in the power of fading flower patterns into cheetah print. Saavedra also splashed hues of neon onto the swimsuits as if they were a canvas; it looked like a peacock explosion, in the best way possible. The extensive collection spanned from swimsuits, to bags, to rompers, and dresses.

Standout Looks: Though the blend of cheetah print with flowers doesn’t appeal to everyone, the high-to-low oversized dress with those prints radiated down the runway. If you’re looking to be exotic and feminine, this is your go-to piece.
Trend Alert: Uneven lengths and slits on the airy, oversized dresses; it’s the perfect mixture to reach comfort and sex appeal.
We Could Do Without: A one-piece suit with odd cut-out patterns on the front and back. The piece did not flatter the model’s body, so we can’t bear to imagine how non-models would look/feel.
The Vibe: Laid-back luxury in a beach city.
The Cute Factor: The designer closed the show by walking down the runway with one of her models, and wore a piece from her own collection — and she looked as good as the models.
