Sometimes the “Day” doesn’t get enough respect here at “Night & Day,” especially on that most nighttime of holidays — Halloween. But for those of you who plan your days like Amish farmers in a candle wax shortage, here are some things to do this Saturday before the sun goes down.

The Upper Eastside, in its ongoing quest to turn high heels into hot wheels, will host the annual MiMOween Halloween Street Festival on Biscayne Boulevard between 50th and 78th streets. Area businesses will open their doors to children and parents alike from noon to 6 p.m., with special treats for those who show up in costume. Everything is free except the historic walking tour (ten bucks). Visit mimoboulevard.org for a list of participating venues.

Sat., Oct. 31, noon, 2009
