Although some people celebrate it twice a day, all year, National Wine Week is actually held twice a year, in March and September. From March 19 to 23, steakhouse extraordinaire Smith & Wollensky will host over forty vintners who will bless the lunch crowd with generous samples of top-shelf wines.

For ten dollars (in addition to the cost of lunch), you’ll get a tasting of a selection of wines that are a lot better than any bottle of wine you could get at 7-11. (Oh, thank heaven!) Lunch starts at noon, Monday through Saturday, and at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. A portion of the proceeds from Wine Week will benefit the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis. For reservations, call 305-673-2800. For more information visit www.nationalwineweek.com.
March 19-23, noon
