Blues and jazz are among America’s greatest cultural achievements, and beginning at 6:30 p.m., the City of Miami Beach Fourth of July Celebration (Ocean Drive at Eighth Street, Miami Beach) does us all a cultural solid by offering free blues and jazz concerts. Big Poppa E and the E Band perform at 6:30 p.m.; the South Florida Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Chuck Bergeron and featuring special guest vocalist Nicole Henry, performs at 7:45; and the fireworks start at 9.
