Keep Miami New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $7,500 by April 26. Your support ensures Miami New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
Mix a splash of beer, a dash of graffiti art, a pinch of indie tunes, and a smidgen of pirate radio, and whaddya cook up? Miami Beer Tour, of course. This unique music-cum-art-cum-booze-fest is an eclectic activity for culture connoisseurs who dig their brewskis.
This Monday, the gang will take over Gramps (176 NW 24th St., Miami) for “Christmas in July,” so you can make like a little kid and go apeshit about goodies under the beer-bottle Christmas tree. And to make like a grown-ass adult, you can drink more than a few craft beers at $3 a pop.
In addition to holiday spirit, there’ll be all kinds of art at work. From beer-bottle creations by Miami Beer Tour cofounder La Mano Fria to TV visuals by Tokyo Beer Tour, there’ll be plenty of visual stimulation.
Audio enjoyment will come courtesy of vinyl DJ sets by Nor (Miami Beer Tour’s other cofounder), Broke, La Mano Fria, and Hex from the Watchmen. Think golden-era hip-hop — perfect for a hot Christmas night.
So get your Santa suit ready — Christmastime is here again. Sort of.
